Well, you are in the right place! I might help you just by telling my own experience and explaining how I recovered my FB access.
This is what happened to me:
I was setting up something on my FB account, when I was asked to type my password (OK), and after that, I was taken to a security check page where I was requested to insert a code sent to my phone number, just to verify my identity.
The problem was that it was an outdated phone number, in other words: I din’t have that phone number any more!
There was where my nightmare started…
The first thing I wanted to do was to get in touch with Facebook support or customer service or something similar to that. But the big problem is Facebook does not have this kind of services…
Basically what they have it’s a lot of pages full of information, but at the end of the day after searching you only waste your time….
So my next step after failing in getting in contact with Facebook or finding a solution, was to talk to Facebook through their social media posts ( I was very upset to be honest). Take a look at some of my comments to Facebook posts:
Of course, 0 response from Facebook.
The next thing I tried was contacting them via Twitter: again no response.
I also “shouted out” on my Twitter posts asking for help, maybe someone could help me out.
I only got people telling me to let them know if I eventually find a solution, and some other pessimistic messages telling me that I already had lost all of my years of work and content on my Facebook pages.
I also reached Facebook gurus, friends of friends, managers of marketing agencies, even Facebook employees….
Well, suddenly after trying lots and lots of things my account become suspended….
So I thought, well, this is goodbye.
But one day talking to my friend Martha she said, so finally you made it to get your Facebook back….And I said… Well, not really, my account was suspended. And she said: “Well, a few weeks ago I saw you were within my contacts again….”
I checked and…. Yes! I only had to type in my password and I could access my account!!!
Facebook didn’t even bother to let me know my account was back on….Again incredibly disappointed with Facebook.
Anyway, now I’m going to let you know what you need to know to recover your account. Keep reading!
STEPS THAT WORKED FOR ME TO RECOVER MY FACEBOOK ACCOUNT
STEP 1: You need to reach Facebook about your problem by its “facebook security check preventing login” page. Tap on the following image to go to that page:
Alternatively, you can get to this page by searching this on Google (copy and paste the following):

There you can explain your problem. Don’t forget to include your email, screenshots of what you are seeing, etc.
I would recommend repeating this 3 times a week during 2 weeks and after that once a week.
STEP 2: Comment on the posts of Facebook on Social Media (Twitter, LinkedIn, etc). Don’t forget to tell about your problem commenting on the social media posts of Facebook.
STEP 3: Then you just have to wait, wait and wait…. I personally waited for 2 months and a half.

TRY THIS:
Go to facebookblueprint.com take their ad policy course get a certificate next time when you appeal send your achievement. Mention that you understand their policy guidelines. There are 50 percent chances but someone got their account back within 1 week.

submitted ID per instructions and despite them indicating it takes 24 hours, LOL, i have heard nothing.

Happened to me on 11/6, right after posting a sale on marketplace although I have many. The first time the upload worked and I got an email with a link but it sent me to an old profile (not the one I was locked out of) I have since deleted that account, but I still cannot log in. I’m sorry for my slow repsonse, only just seen your message. I’ve had no response. I’ve needed to log out in order to submit a report, weirdly, as I cannot proceed to secure my account logged in. So strange that I can change password, etc, but my account remains locked…
